Duston Mill has both an indoor and outdoor setting for you to create your event. The choice is yours, or you can hire both areas and make the absolute most of the space. Party in the barn and glamping by the riverbank anyone?
Our most popular spot, as the iconic Grain Store and Mill Stone bridge add that all important industrial vibe to your day. Your guests will arrive, walking across the old Nene river into the yard of a former flour mill, which is framed with festoon lighting. You can even host your drinks reception on the bridge before heading into The Grain Store.
The Grain Store is a working agricultural barn for Duston Mill which means it provides a genuine rustic environment within the grounds of one of Northampton’s historic flour mills. Inside, the barn can comfortably seat up to 150 guests who will be surrounded by industrial accents, including a large wood burning stove, blacksmiths vice and anvil, vintage tractor seat bar stools, and copper light fittings.
The Paddock is our largest piece of land, an open grassed field, a small piece of woodland (great for pictures!) and hardstanding for marquees or other structures.
The Riverbank consits of 4 acres of grassland which follows the famous and picturesque Northants river Nene.
This space works perfectly for large outdoor events, or if you want to camp/glamp next to your indoor event so you can just fall into bed! Or, if you’re looking for something a little bit more ‘pretty’, lawn like even, the Riverbank is perfect for you, giving you beautiful photos, and still offering the flexibility of an informal tipi or marquee venue. It’s also right at the back of the site, so it’s great if you want your day to be really private.
You are entirely free to personalise all aspects of your event and choose whichever suppliers you wish, from casual or formal catering, decorations, bar suppliers, tables, etc, make your day as you want it!
